Last name’s have a large role in one’s family history and can be traced to find out the origin of where you are from and the culture one identifies with. There are millions of different surname used throughout the world and each one has a unique meaning. In most Spanish and Portuguese speaking countries, two or more last names may be used. Where as in most Asian countries, the surname is placed before a person’s first name. The history of a â€Å"last name† evolves from a medieval naming practice called a â€Å"byname†, often based on an individual’s occupation or area of residence. My specific last name is â€Å"Abreu†, which according to my research, Is a habitation name from a place called â€Å"Abreu†, in the former Minho providence in Portugal. â€Å"Abreu† is a Portuguese language surname. The name is particularly common amongst those of Portuguese and Jewish decent. Approximately 519,239 people around the world h ave the surname â€Å"Abreu†, making it the 1021st most common surname in the world. Brazil, Dominican Republic, and Venezuela are the top 3 countries with the highest number of â€Å"Abreu’s†. My first name, Ricardo, Is a fairly common first name for males of Hispanic descent. Question: Discuss about the Property Plant and Equipment. Answer: Introduction: It is clear that the conduct of the general manager as well as the accountant of Pringles Limited were unethical. A company can change its method of depreciation anytime but for the same there has to be a valid reason so as to satisfy the shareholders about such a change. Further to this, no company can make changes in its accounting principles and estimates simply because they want to manipulate the actual profits made by the company in order to show consistency in the performance during years of recession as well. This would defeat the very principle of true and fair view. There are two ethical issues which have occurred in this case study. First and foremost, the general manager, Mr. Peter Pringle should not have asked the accountant to make such adjustments which would ensure that the company has been making profits during years when the economy was in a recession. The general manger is an employee of the company and he has no rights to mislead the owners i.e. the shareholders of the company. His stance is unethical. Although he had not asked the accountant to make changes in the depreciation method yet the same is unethical on his part to ask Marion to find a way wherein the profits of the company can be spread over a few years. Further he also agreed to Marions solution and the fact that the reason for such a change was also not disclosed in the notes (McNamara, 2010). Thus Peter Pringle has misinformed the shareholders by hiding the actual details. The second issue is that the accountant, Marion has also behaved in an unethical manner. An accountant can change the method of depreciation from straight line to sum of years digit method but only if there is a change in the expected method of consumption of the asset which would yield the expected benefits as per AASB 116 (aasb.gov.au., 2009). However in the present case the accountant has not adhered to the accounting standards and changed the depreciation method simply because the company wanted to show lesser profits. This is in contravention to AASB 116. Further to this the standard also specifies that adequate disclosure in case of change in the accounting estimate should be made with reasons about such a change in the notes to accounts but the same has also not been disclosed by Marion. Therefore in the present case both the general manager and the accountant are held responsible for the said act as the companys personnel should not ask for such an action from the accountant and the accountant should also have objected to the same and informed the shareholders of the company of such an issue (Fazal, 2013). A companys shareholders appoint the general manager on trust that he or she would ensure that the accounts are presented in a fair manner which would reveal the true picture of the companys financial performance. Further an accountant is considered to be very high on his profession and is expected to act ethically in accordance to the various accounting principles which would reveal the true scenario of the companys performance. Thus the fact that the actual financial situation of the company is being painted dark by the general manager and the accountant of Pringles Ltd. is unethical. This allows the H2O gas to be captured in the balloon. The circumference of the balloon is then found. The circumference can then be applied to the equation C=nor and the radius is determined. Using the radius of the balloon, in the equation the volume taken up by the hydrogen gas can be found. The pressure is the pressure of the air which is measured with a barometer. AH can be found by multiplying the mass of hydrochloric acid, the specific heat of HCI, and AT of the hydrochloric acid then dividing it by the moles of zinc.

I had lived there for 11 years and all my wants and needs were met on that small island. I could walk anywhere without worrying about getting kidnapped. I could take a taxi and not worry about the driver cheating you. I could even leave the house 10 minutes for a lesson and not worry about being late. I had a lovely school, a nice group of international friends and moreover a house in a pristine location. All was good. One day, my dad was at work and my brother was at a sleepover. My mother took me to my favorite restaurant at that timeMcDonalds. I knew something was fishy, because I hadnt done anything good, but I went along with it. Then she brought me a FULL Meal. Hmmmmsuspicious but I again parried it off. Then she upsized it. Ok! Something was wrong. So when I went to the table to eat my Upsized, full meal of McDonalds, I asked my mum Whats going on? Whats the special occasion? And she replied, Nothing Rushad. Cant we just have a mother, son outing? I looked at her in the eye and I could tell something was wrong. Ok, fine. She said. Paused. Took a bite from her burger. Swallowed. Then said We are moving from Singapore. Dont lie. I laughed. You cant be serious! MUM! But she just shook her head, like a bothered elephant and said Im sorry. But I dont want to move. And she told me the words I will never forget: Life is like McDonalds. One day you get the Big Mac, whilst others you just get simple Chicken Nuggets. However, sometimes, you only get whats available and have no say in the matter. Do you think a chicken wants to be killed to fill your stomach? Or a cow slaughtered to fill you up? No, sometimes, you have to accept defeat and walk along the path your life has chosen. This was a turning point in my life. I realized that in life, you dont always get what you wanted. Fortunately, some people learn this in simple ways such as not winning the game you wanted, or not getting that pretty girl to go out with you. Unfortunately for me, I learnt this the hard way. Leaving all that I knew behind, to start a fresh life in Jakarta. Sometimes you only want something, like staying in Singapore, because its the safe way out. â€Å"The Fall of the House of Usher† by Edgar Allen Poe is a story riddled with deeper meanings than the superficial plot line and analogies to draw. With the first read through, the story seems quite confusing in a sickly twisted sort of way, but upon further reading, it becomes clear that there are meanings hidden deep down in the plot. There are many comparisons that can be made in this story but the most obvious one would be the connection between the lives of the characters and the house in which they dwell.Poe does a good job at purposely confusing the reader as to whether he is talking about the literal house of Usher or the metaphorical house of Usher. The literal house is described as being in rough condition, with a crack from the top of the house to the bottom. It has tarn around the outside of it and is in a general state of disrepair. As Poe describes how the literal house of usher is nearly ready to crumble, he also speaks of the metaphorical house of Usher. The metaphorical house of usher is also ready to crumble. This is because the house of Usher was inbred, leaving all of its members except two diseased.Roderick Usher and Madeleine Usher were the only two Ushers left in the line of Ushers, and they were both very ill. Madeleine suffers from fits that render her immobile, and appearing dead. Roderick on the other hand has heightened senses and is acutely aware of every tiny last detail that is happening around him. Both Roderick and Madeleine are on the verge of death and it is only a matter of time who goes first. This can again be related to the literal house of Usher because due to the fissure running down the foundation of the house, it is only a matter of time which side collapses first.Poe does a good job at creating a sense of claustrophobia in the house by making it seem small and difficult to navigate. He also creates a sense of mental claustrophobia within the narrator by making the narrator unable to get away from the literal and figurative house of Usher. In the end of the story, when Madeleine breaks out of her tomb and kills Roderick, this is the fall of the metaphorical house of Usher, because after this point, there are no more ushers seeing as they have both died.As soon as the narrator flees the madhouse, this is the fall of the literal house of Usher. Immediately after the narrators departure from the house, the fissure from the top to the bottom of the house enlarges and the house literally collapses. It is clearly seen throughout Poe's story that both the literal and figurative houses of Usher are meant to have a nearly perfect parallel plot throughout the entire story. The literal house collapses, as does the figurative, and they both collapse in the same way.

Para ello, este artà ­culo brinda importante informacià ³n en 10 puntos bsicos sobre quà © se debe hacer, quà © consejos seguir para evitar problemas graves y cà ³mo hacer un seguimiento de los trmites una vez que se envà ­a el formulario.   10 cosas que debes saber sobre los formularios del USCIS 1. Schools that are either stagnant or complacent are doing the students and communities that they serve a major disservice. If you are not progressing, you will ultimately fall behind and fail. Education, in general, is very progressive and trendy, sometimes to a fault, but you must always be seeking out something bigger and better. School leaders who regularly include their constituents in the decision-making process find it advantageous in many different ways. They understand that involving stakeholders in the decision-making process can ultimately transform a school. Progressive transformation is continuous and ongoing. It must become a mindset and regular way of making decisions to maximize effectiveness.  School leaders must actively invest in the opinions of others, understanding that they do not have all the answers themselves. Varying Perspectives One of the most beneficial aspects of bringing different people to the discussion is that you get several different perspectives or points of view.  Every stakeholder is going to have a distinctly different point of view based on their individual affiliation with the school. It is important that school leaders bring together a varying range of constituents with their hands in different parts of the cookie jar so that perspective is maximized. This is naturally beneficial as someone else may see a potential road block or benefit that someone else may not have thought of. Having multiple perspectives can only boost any decision-making effort and lead to healthy discussions that morph into growth and improvement.  Ã‚   Better Buy In When decisions are made through a process that is genuinely inclusive and transparent people tend to buy in and support those decisions even when they are not directly involved.  There will likely be some that still disagree with the decisions, but they typically respect them because they understand the process and know that the decision was not made lightly or by a single person. Buy in is extremely important for a school because of all the moving parts. A school operates more efficiently when all the parts on the same page. This often translates to success which benefits everyone. Less Resistance Resistance is not necessarily a bad thing and offers some benefits. However, it can also totally destroy a school if it morphs into a resistance movement.  By bringing varying perspectives to the table, you naturally negate much of the resistance. This is especially true when collaborative decision making becomes the norm and part of the expected culture of the school. People will trust a decision-making process that is inclusive, transparent, and holistic in nature. Resistance can be annoying, and it can definitely impede improvement referendum. As stated before this is not always a bad thing as some resistance minimally serves as a natural system of checks and balances. Not Top Heavy School leaders are ultimately responsible for their school’s successes and failures.  When they make critical decisions by themselves, they shoulder 100% of the blame when things run amiss. Furthermore, many people question top heavy decision making and never fully buy in. Any time a single person makes a key decision without consulting others they are setting themselves up for ridicule and eventual failure. Even if that decision is the correct and best choice, it serves school leaders well to consult with others and seek their advice before the final say. When school leaders make too many individual decisions they eventually distance themselves from other stakeholders which is unhealthy at best. Holistic, Inclusive Decisions Collaborative decisions are typically well thought out, inclusive, and holistic. When a representative from each stakeholder group is brought to the table, it gives validity to the decision. For example, parents feel they have a voice in a decision because there were other parents representing them in the decision-making group.  This is especially true when those on a collaborative decision-making committee go out into the community and seek further feedback from like stakeholders. Furthermore, these decisions are holistic in nature meaning that research has been done, and both sides have been carefully examined.   Better Decisions Collaborative decisions often lead to better decision making. When a group comes together with a common goal, they are able to explore all the options more in-depth.  They can take their time, bounce ideas off one another, research the pros and cons of each option thoroughly, and ultimately make a decision that will produce the greatest outcomes with the least resistance.  Better decisions yield better results. In a school environment, this is extremely important. A top priority for every school is to maximize student potential. You do this in part by making the correct, calculated decisions time and time again.   Shared Responsibility One of the greatest aspects of collaborative decision making is that no single person can take the credit or the blame. The final decision lies with the majority on the committee. Though a school leader will likely take the lead in the process, the decision is not solely theirs. This also ensures that they are not doing all of the work. Instead, each member of the committee plays a critical role in the process that often extends beyond simple decision making into implementation and follow through.  Shared responsibility helps reduce the pressure of making a big decision. Those on the committee provide a natural support system because they truly understand the commitment and dedication to making the correct decisions.
